The Network Guys

AT&T wasn't getting credit for the massive upgrades it was making to its wireless network. And their advertising featuring cute kids, though popular, hammered the wrong message.

The network is actually really, really complicated — a truth we brought to life with Frank & Charlie, two smart but socially-challenged AT&T engineers who managed to be entertaining and credible at the same time. In their first year, the Network Guys landed in both Entertainment Weekly and Slate's roundup of the year's best ads. And even got a shout-out from Bruno Mars.
